Gerrie Sporken Ac.M.:
Training and experience

I had my training in England at the College of Traditional Acupuncture. This College was founded by Professor J.R. Worsley. He inspired me to master this form of acupuncture: "heal the spirit and this will make the complaints disappear and the quality of life recover".

My training at the College of Traditional Acupuncture started with a three-year basic training with subjects like anatomy, physiology and pathology on college level. After this I did additional training on Bachelor and Master level.

British Acupuncture Council (
BAcC)
The BAcC is a trade society for acupuncture and has over 2500 members. I have been a member of the BAcC since 1985.

Dutch Traditional Acupuncture Society (Nederlandse Traditionele Acupunctuur Vereniging, NTAV)
I founded this society in the nineties together with a number of Dutch colleagues. The members of this society have graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in the UK. The society promotes the name and the level of practice of Traditional Acupuncture in the Netherlands.
